Hi! I'm Sarah, the owner of SJ Prereaders. I absolutely love all things book-related and am here to assist you in getting your books, and yourself, ready to publish!

My favorite book genres are romance and travel, but I am willing to try any book or genre that pulls me in or someone suggests. I'm a collector of books, which we all know is a separate hobby than reading books. I've been a reader for as long as I can remember and started reading romance at a young age.

I have been an ARC reader with a multiple indie teams and individually since early-2018, a beta reader for a few authors since mid-2018, and a proofreader since 2021. During that time, I've helped to create ARC teams and to grow authors' social media presence. I've collaborated on stories being written, helped grow brands, proofread, and assisted with general support tasks as needed. I enjoy collaborating and watching authors grow to their potential. I work individually, as well as with MerLau Publishing, a company started in 2019 by an author and editor team, and AlternativEdits.

In my professional life, I am a virtual assistant specializing in administrative tasks. I have over 10 years of administrative work experience with 5 of those being managerial. I also worked in event management and execution for over 12 years.

Outside of the professional world, I have a husband, two cats, and two dogs. I love traveling anywhere and as often as I can, photographing everything around me, kayaking on the lakes and streams of East Tennessee, taking drives through the mountains, watching movies I've already seen a hundred times (final musical numbers anyone?), and dancing around the house. I'm a University of Tennessee graduate with a degree in Political Science and Sociology, but since that time, I've taken multiple classes just because they sounded interesting: Editing, Excel 365, Leadership, Sales, and Podcasts and Blogging so far. 

 

I love supporting and collaborating with others as they turn their dreams in to reality.
